Corse and Staunton Playing Fields

The playing fields are situated alongside the A417 as you enter the village from Gloucester. They cover an area of approximately 5.5 acres and were established in 1952. Also, you can find the village hall and scout hut at the same location. In recent years, the Playing Fields committee have been very successful in obtaining grant funding to improve the pavilion and provide a safe and segregated play area. The local football and cricket clubs make extensive use of the field throughout the year. See their web pages for further details. The playing fields committee rely heavily on these clubs for their income and are also very grateful for the financial support they receive from both parish councils. Also, for over 10 years they have been running a successful 200 Club which raises around £1000 every year.. If you are interested in joining please contact the Chairman Graham Bruce on Gloucester 840663 or by email graham.bruce@british-energy.com. If you have any other queries regarding the playing fields please do not hesitate to contact Graham.
